So for about as long as I have known Beka she has wanted a canopy bed. She has asked and asked and we just have never purchased one. Yesterday we were out scouting out some new appliances and furniture and she found the bed she has always wanted. Mykl and Heidi told us to visit this furniture store in Lehi where the got some couches. We ended up getting a bedroom set instead of just the bed. We have never owned a bedroom set so I think it was about time. We bought a Queen head and footboard once but we only used that for a while before upgrading to a King mattress. So our plain old mattress now has a friend. The bedroom set included the canopy bed, the dresser w/mirror, and a nightstand. We got an additional nightstand so we could both have one.

Yesterday they put up the rest of the scaffolding and stocked the house for drywall. Now I have seen some drywall before, but there is a crap load of it in the house right now. And some HUGE pieces. I didn’t know they made it that big. Hopefully they will get started on that today. They still haven’t put up the Soffit and Fascia but I’m sure they won’t forget it. Not really something I worry too much about. This week they are suppose to install all of the drywall, mud, and tape. And also start stuccoing the house. The dates on the stucco are 10/14-10/29. So looks to go on for several weeks. They are also suppose to blow the attic insulation this week as well.

These pictures are from Friday. They installed all of the insulation and a guy came to move all of my network and tv cable to the correct location. He did a really nice job of tucking the cable and made it look nice. Looks like they only insulate the outter walls of the house. Would of been nice to get all of the walls insulated, but maybe that is over kill. Would possibly cut down on noise though.

Today we had our Framing walkthrough and told them about all the things we wanted fixed. I pled with them about moving the media panel, so we will see what they do. Might have to get ugly about it! Anyway while we were doing our walkthrough the central vac guy was there installing the lines for the central vac. Then after we left they came and installed the exterior doors. Amazing how doors can make it feel so enclosed now. Makes it feel like a house. First picture is our front door and the second picture is our back door. No more sliding glass door with a doggie door in it for us! WOOO!
Click Here to take a gander at some of the pics from my QA conference this week! Peace!
