They came and installed all the windows today. They also put all the shingles on the roof. They were still there finishing up the 3rd car garage while Beka went to take pictures. Not entirely sure what they are doing tomorrow. They did some more plumbing as well. Looks like they ran some of the mains and hooked into the main in the crawl space. They look like they are primed to pour some more cement but who knows. We will just watch and see.

They are just about done with the roof. You can see one little section not done yet. I’m sure they will finish that up tomorrow. The windows are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow as well as a few other things. They should be starting shingles very soon as well. After that the weather can do whatever it wants. I am praying for a warmish summer until we get in, so sorry to the winter lovers.

After dropping Chris off at the airport on Saturday, Tyler and I went for a train ride! We took FrontRunner from Salt Lake to Layton. We ate lunch at Doug and Emmy’s (well, it was breakfast at lunch time, they have the best scones!) and then caught the train back to Salt Lake. He loved it and has been talking about it ever since!

Sorry, the pictures aren’t that great. The sun was setting as we arrived at the house. It is amazing what they can get done in one day! On this day they put up all of the exterior walls and all of the interior ones! The roof is next.

This is going up quick. If you blink, or miss a day getting on here you miss a lot. Today they installed some rough stairs and put down the second floor. I am heading out of town next week so I will be relying on Beka to update us all. I’m sure she will do great. This sure has been fun going over to the house everyday to see our house go up piece by piece. I was working late tonight and so I went over to the house after dark tonight. I climbed up into where my bedroom will be, and realized that we have un-blocked view to the Mt Timp Temple. It was a spectacular view. We picked a great lot. Unless they build a massive building behind us, we should have a great view for quite some time.

Today they finished up framing in the crawl space, put down the 1st floor, and have half of the walls up. As you can see, they need to fix the cement on our back patio. We wanted it to start where the bay window stopped, not under it! We are still 2 days ahead of schedule!

So I got an e-mail yesterday during church from our sales chick, Tiffany. She informed me that our dates had changed, but for the better. Instead of starting the framing on October 1st, they were going to start on Sept. 24th. A week early! Then today on my way home from work I thought I would stop by and check out the house. They were only suppose to seal the concrete today, but as you can see from the above pictures, they did a little more than seal the concrete. We have wood, and lots of it! They have started framing today and they can’t be stopped. Imagine our suprise to have framing started a week and a half early. You won’t hear any complaining coming from us apt dwellers. I rushed home to get our camera, just to find out that our internet was down for the 80th time in 6 weeks. Lucky for me we have the best realtor in the entire world. Actually she technically isn’t our realtor anymore, but a super friend. She lets me borrow her Air card everytime my internet goes down, which goes down quite often. Anyway, we are super stoked to get this show on the road. Can’t wait to see what they do tomorrow!

They poured the rest of our concrete on Friday. Driveway, garage, side man door, and back patio. We are moving right along.
